As part of a campus accessibility improvement initiative at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, Granite Ridge Landscape Company constructed a series of engineered retaining walls to support the installation of new ADA-compliant pedestrian walkways. The project required careful coordination, precise grading, and quality craftsmanship to create durable infrastructure that enhances both accessibility and the surrounding campus environment.
The retaining wall system was designed to manage grade changes while providing long-term structural stability and a clean architectural appearance that complements the existing campus. Integrated with the new sidewalks, ramps, railings, and landscape areas, the completed project improves pedestrian circulation while creating a safe, welcoming, and functional outdoor environment for students, faculty, and visitors.
